Programme Overview
The Toddler Programme at Le'Cole Maternelle School is thoughtfully designed to support children during one of the most important stages of their early development. At this age, toddlers are naturally curious, energetic, and eager to explore the world around them. Our programme provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn through meaningful experiences, guided exploration, and purposeful play.
We understand that every child develops at their own pace. Therefore, our curriculum focuses on encouraging independence, building confidence, strengthening communication skills, and fostering social-emotional growth while ensuring that learning remains joyful and engaging.
Through age-appropriate activities, interactive learning experiences, and caring guidance from trained facilitators, children are encouraged to discover their abilities, express their thoughts, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
Our Learning Approach
At Le'Cole Maternelle, we believe that young children learn best when they are actively involved in their experiences. The Toddler Programme combines structured learning opportunities with child-led exploration to create a balanced and enriching educational journey.
Children participate in activities that promote:
- Exploration and discovery
- Communication and language development
- Social and emotional growth
- Physical coordination and movement
- Creativity and self-expression
- Cognitive and problem-solving skills
- Independence and self-help routines
Every day is carefully planned to provide opportunities for learning through play, hands-on experiences, music, movement, storytelling, art, and outdoor activities.
Programme Highlights
-
⭐ Early Language & Communication Development
Language development is a key focus during the toddler years. Through conversations, songs, rhymes, storytelling, and interactive activities, children build vocabulary, improve listening skills, and develop confidence in expressing their thoughts and feelings.
-
⭐ Sensory & Discovery-Based Learning
Toddlers learn by touching, exploring, observing, and experimenting. Our sensory-rich activities encourage children to investigate different textures, colors, sounds, and materials, helping them develop curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
-
⭐ Fine & Gross Motor Skill Development
Children participate in activities that strengthen both small and large muscle groups. Fine motor activities such as drawing, threading, stacking, and manipulating objects help develop hand-eye coordination, while running, climbing, jumping, balancing, and movement games support gross motor development.
-
⭐ Music, Movement & Creative Expression
Music and movement play an important role in early childhood development. Children engage in singing, dancing, rhythm activities, and creative movement sessions that enhance coordination, self-expression, confidence, and enjoyment.
-
⭐ Social Skills & Cooperative Play
The programme provides numerous opportunities for children to interact with peers, share experiences, take turns, and learn positive social behaviours. Through guided group activities and collaborative play, children develop empathy, cooperation, and friendship skills.
-
⭐ Storytelling & Vocabulary Building
Interactive storytelling sessions spark imagination, strengthen listening abilities, and enrich vocabulary. Children are encouraged to participate in discussions, role-play stories, and express their ideas, helping them become confident communicators.
-
⭐ Outdoor Exploration & Physical Activities
Outdoor play is an essential part of the learning experience. Children enjoy supervised outdoor activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, confidence, and a connection with nature while encouraging active exploration and discovery.
-
⭐ Safe, Nurturing & Engaging Environment
Our classrooms are designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and secure environment where children feel comfortable exploring, learning, and growing. Caring facilitators offer individualized attention and support, helping every child feel valued and confident.
